KEEPING TRACK OF WHAT WE DO...

In addition to our booklet you will be creating a PowerPoint to keep display some of your learning (especially when you create using the Ways to... Show You Know! page from this wiki).

Stay up to date! Check the PowerPoint below (mine) as it will be updated at the same time you do.

PowerPoint Slides:

-- Title (choose a design; title = Passport to the Internet, your name, date)
-- Contents (heading should read Contents; list each slide - add to this slide as you add new slides to your PowerPoint)
-- Computer Room Matrix and link
-- Wordle of computer terms (from brainstormed list below) and link
-- Tagxedo of computer terms (from brainstormed list below) no need for link as it should be on the image
-- Warning Sign (after working through the MyFace module) and link
-- Make Beliefs Comix (of an online safety tip) and link

PASSPORT TO THE INTERNET

1st Module: Co-Co's Choco Match (online advertising) - Oct. 2/13

Tool2Try:

Slide4.JPG
Sample: Techno Girl
Profile Publisher - Read Write Think (think up a product and a mascot to represent that product; create a mock up of an online social networking profile for them)

Remember: when deciding, remember to think about what 'product' you are promoting and what the mascot's purpose is; you'll be creating a rough draft first (on the outline provided and then you'll be typing up your good copy)

PASSPORT TO THE INTERNET

2nd Module: Web Cafe (safety while online) - Oct. 8/13

Tool2Try:

3rd & 4th Modules: MySpace & Instant Pigeon

Tool2Try:

Comix Safety.JPG
Make Beliefs Comix (think of an online safety tip that can be shared comic-style with a conversation between 2 characters); do a rough draft first and then create it using Make Beliefs Comix. You will only be using 3 panels. Once you've created it, click on arrow on the right to see your finished comic. Use the snipping tool to save it as an image and then add it to your PowerPoint. Remember to credit the site by adding the link to the page.
