THINK... WHAT WOULD LIFE BE LIKE WITHOUT SOUNDS? WHAT WOULD BE A CHALLENGE [NEGATIVE]? WOULD ANYTHING BE EASIER/BETTER [POSITIVE]?
NEGATIVE:
*IT COULD BE DANGEROUS - YOU WOULDN'T HEAR A FIRE ALARM, SIREN OR SHOTS
*IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO HAVE A CONVERSATION ON THE PHONE OR IN PERSON
*IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO LEARN - YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT SOMEONE IS SAYING; YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO A TEACHER OR STUDENT; YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO; IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO ASK QUESTIONS
*IT WOULD BE FRUSTRATING; YOU'D BE ANGRY
*VIDEO GAMES WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO PLAY (THE ONES WITH SOUND)
*YOU COULDN'T LISTEN TO MUSIC
*YOU MIGHT MISS OUT ON THINGS (EG. THE ICECREAM TRUCK)

POSITIVE:
*EASIER TO CONCENTRATE - QUIETER IN CLASS
*YOU WOULDN'T HEAR ANNOYING THINGS (EG. DOGS BARKING, SOMEONE GIVING INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT CHORES, SOMEONE TALKING TO YOU THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR)

THINGS WE'VE LEARNED:
-SOUND CAN TRAVEL THROUGH THINGS LIKE WALLS, GLASS AND DOORS
-YOU CAN'T HEAR IN SPACE
-DROP A BALL, TABLE VIBRATES, VIBRATIONS TRAVEL THROUGH AIR TO YOUR EAR, YOU HEAR SOUND
-HEARING CAN BE DAMAGED BY LOUD SOUNDS; BLOCKING SOUND WAVES FROM ENTERING THE EAR WILL HELP PROTECT
-THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: WIND (sound is made by blowing into or over), PERCUSSION (sound is made by tapping or shaking), STRINGED (sound is made by plucking or strumming the strings)
-SOME INSTRUMENTS ARE A COMBO OF THE 3 TYPES
-THE VOLUME AND PITCH OF THE SOUND FROM AN UNSTRUMENT CAN USUALLY BE CHANGED
